The data revolution promises to unleash tremendous efficiency gains against pollution, by making our planet more connected and our cities smarter, cleaner and more open.

Come meet the revolutionaries building a better world with data – one kilobyte at a time, in government, startups, NGOs or academia!

An afternoon of pitches and presentations animated by Romain Lacombe (Plume Labs).

1. Making the invisible visible through data
What are the costs of climate change? How much pollution do we breathe around the world? Can the data from our mobile phones help us fight climate change?

Hear from innovators who use data to reveal the world around us:
- Andrew Jones, MIT & Climate Interactive
- Karen Bastien, We Do Data
- Nicolas de Cordes, Orange

2. Open policy-making to make the air more transparent
Governments must be part of the solution to climate change, but how can we help them do so?

These public sector innovators are betting on openness to help us beat pollution:
- Robert Kirkpatrick, UN Global Pulse, Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General
- Anne Ged, City of Paris Climate Agency
- Chloe Bonnet, Five by Five
- Romain Talès, Prime Minister’s taskforce Etalab for Open Data (data.gouv.fr)

3. Citizens, united in data?
Change starts with us – but how do we start the change? And how can data help us?

Learn how designers and activists use data to foster individual and collective action against climate change:
- Daniel Kaplan, La FING & Transitions2
- Carole Morage, C3 Challenge
- Erwan Cordeau, IAU Urbanism Institute

4. Code for COP: education against climate change
The best way to change the world is to invent tomorrow. But how can we teach children to love computer sciences? Let's make it fun for them to code – and help save our climate!

Yves Boileau of Orange, partner of Place To B, will moderate a workshop on teaching children how to create and develop animations and games. Because Orange trusts in their capacity to express their opinions and contribute their own way... starting now.
